Years Into the Life
BT is an artist of many talents. Finding inspiration in life, atmosphere, dreams, and the spiritual. Music brings harmony, motion, and flow to the mind, and body driven to find a connection to what we feel and hear. Throughout his journey, he learned many aspects of music, also studying language, comprehension, and beyond.
It all began with Deep Dish.
Early in BT’s career, he worked alongside two other fellow artists. Going by various nicknames to fit into the scene, “Prana” and many more, because his style did not flow the rest of various talents out at the time. Which lead to some awesome collaboration opportunities. From working with Tori Amos, Madonna, Sasha, Tiesto, and more.
A spiritual journey of heart, body, mind, and of the soul.
Connecting with various artists along the way, Dj Sasha helped BT, and connected with the sound, enhancing the album with a second journey. IMA explored different regions of connecting with one self, mother earth, heart and soul, mind and body. Some would review it as a next generation style of sound, because there was nothing else like it. From a chance meeting with legends like Paul Oakenfold, and many other amazing artists, opening up many doors to create something special.
ESCM (Electric Sky Church Music)
Emotions: happiness, sadness, passion, and frustration
The second album, exploring different territory, from freedom of expression, to understanding. Each track contains layers of art, soul, meditation, to go beyond what you see, think, and feel. As words seem like they are not enough, this album is a deep dive into who you are an individual. Exploring different sound styles, from rhythmic, melodic, piano driven, to cascading energies intertwining as one.
Track spotlight “Flaming June”
A song filled with high energy, melodic tones, which will get stuck in your head. It is a beautiful, and majestic track that by itself compliments the entire album. Just close your eyes, and let the rhythm take you away.
R and R (Rare and Remixed)
This two disc compilation album shares the “best of” works, remixes of collaborations with various artists. Plus some unreleased mixes, an immersive journey from beginning to end. Sadly it is not available at any digital music store.
Movement in Still Life
Still Life in Motion (UK Variant)
Diving into the funk, soul, and vibrant side of life. This was a time when he was exploring different levels of creativity. MISL was the type of album, that was inspired by video game music, and art. Oddly enough those two would come together years later. Plus there were variants of this album, where the US version differed from the UK edition. Which is fascinating, showing how different we perceive music from our friends around the world. In the digital versions of the album, there are in fact 18 tracks total. Which includes exclusive remixes, only released for various regions in limited quantity, back when the album came out.
Track Spotlight “Satellite”
Beginning with audio from NASA, then lead by a guitar. A silhouette of chords, serenading us with sound, and harmony. With lyrics that go to another level, it feels ethereal, something uncommon, alien. While being prolific, and unique, redefining who BT is an artist, and his creativity.
10 Years in the Life
A two disc compilation, collecting various works from the past. Plus featuring releases from his earlier days in music, including some amazing collaborations with talents like: Tori Amos, Madonna, Vincent Covello, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Rap, Crystal Method, and many more

This Binary Universe (2 Disc, CD, DVD)
Combining art, expression, unique sound design, and storytelling, creating an immersive experience. As a project, it was to experiment with sound formats within Dolby Audio, pushing what defines a surround sound journey. From beginning to end, each track is composed of many parts, in motion, stills, some including animation, memories, and heartfelt notes to the journey thus far.
As a two disc release, the album, and accompanying dvd. Both tell TBU’s unique story, wrapping you in imagery, and music that you will only dive into within this very special release. Also this was a completely different sound style, taking place in a more orchestral, ambient form, experimenting with different instruments normally not heard together, creating something wonderful, and immersive.
THM These Hopeful Machines (2CD)
A return to form, to the sounds that made him the artist he is today. Along for the ride, amazing collaborations
with: JES, Christian Burns, Andrew Bayer, Rob Dickinson, Kirsty Hawkshaw, and the Psychedelic Furs. With limitations of audio CD’s, each disc contains six tracks, as some pushed past ten minutes. Each track delivers amazing vibes, energy, vocals that you feel with your heart and soul, plus beats that will get you moving.
These Humbled Machines
The Radio Edit version of THM, a compilation of all twelve songs featured in the original album. But in a bite size, for radio play. Although they may be short renditions, they are still excellent. But nothing compares to their original form.
TRM These Re-Imagined Machines (2CD)

What started out as a podcast, grew into something more. From visiting countries around the world, sharing stories through music, past and present. From Above and Beyond, to A State of Trance, and beyond. LS was a project that BT took pride in, celebrating what he loved from his amazing library. Connecting with artists around the world, plus taking part in music events, delivering epic feels no one could forget. Plus teasing what was to come in future albums.
If the Stars Are Eternal So Are You and I
Similar to This Binary Universe, a combination of experimental sounds, intertwined with instruments, sound effects of nature, to elements beyond comprehension. An immersive experience for heart, and soul. Seven surreal tracks that are a deep dive for the senses, an incredible album.
The second part of the immersive experience, within BT’s experimental journey. 8 unique, interwoven tracks from past releases, broken down to create a different sound style, atmosphere, and mindset. The digital version of the album features one track, with all of them put together. Creating a complete performance of harmonies.
ASAW A Song Across Wires
Twelve amazing tracks, plus collaborations with: Fractal and JES, Adam K, Bada, Au5, TyDi, Tania Zygar, Nadia Ali, and many more incredible talents. Every track contains amazing vibes, and radiant energy. ASAW celebrates creativity across the world, connecting us all thru music, expression, and creativity. It is tough to pick just one track, when all of them deliver beats, vocals, melodies, and cannot help but move your body. There are additional versions of each track, extended, plus remixes within the Deluxe Version
What began as a project combining a live orchestra, electronic music, past and present tunes, plus an amazing concert and album. Working alongside Tommy Tallarico, JES, Richard Divine, and more. A partnership of visuals, and audio symmetry. Fourteen amazing songs, reimagined, revitalized, and giving a new energy. It was something beautiful
It all began as an idea, combining music with real time visual stimuli (using a game engine used in various videogames, and films). A mix of classic tracks, reinterpreted with a live orchestral performance, creating a new surreal experience never seen before in a concert. VGL and BT, something no one dared to dream of, but it was made real, and it was awesome. But it also hit a sore spot with everyone involved.
Artifacture, Indivisim, and Omega
A multi part ambient, melodic, deep dive, album. Comprised of numerous tracks, each one unique, and significant throughout telling a story with environmental sounds, and atmosphere. Nature, its wonders, animals, creatures great and small, to the gentle tide of waves crashing in the water, to raindrops trickling on the side of a window pane.
Essentially this two part release is a sequel to “This Binary Universe”, expanding BT’s incredible, and creative process in designing soundscapes within our little blue planet.

The Side Roads taken:
A look back, twenty years since the original Fast and the Furious film, and its outstanding soundtrack
Fast and the Furious (Original Soundtrack)
Working with N’SYNC. “Pop”
In case you’re wondering why this song is so darn catchy. Plus the breakdown at the end, all of it was experimental, trying something different that no one heard before. Combining his journey thru music, including the members of the boy band, they collaborated to create an awesome track that still blows minds.
Collaborations with other artists
There so many collaborations BT has been a part of, just to name a few: Death Cab for Cutie, Howard Jones, Celldweller, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Armin Van Buuren, JES, Kristy Hawkshaw, Jan Johnston, Above and Beyond, Aruna, Arty, Britney Spears, Madonna, DJ Rap, Nadia Ali, Iraina Mancini, Tania Zygar, Stef Lang, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Tiesto, Tommy Stinson, and so many more phenomenal artists over the years.
Other tv, and film soundtracks
From Fast and the Furious, to films like Stealth, Go, Tomb Raider, Catch and Release (with Tommy Stinson), and ITTEFAQ (plus numerous video games soundtracks, Wipeout and beyond) There are no limits to BT’s creative mind, heart, and soul.
All Hail the Silence
An awesome collaboration of BT, and Christian Burns. Their side project mixed synthwave, pop, and trance into a unique tale. From love songs, heartbreak, imagination, to a heart beat, or lost time. They currently have several singles, plus an album in multi formats released, but it a fun ride into something different from both amazing artists.
As a music fan most of my life, BT’s journey is something I have connected to since I was a kid, teenager, and as an adult. Following this wild ride then, and now, it has been a fun journey to see where music, and imagination will take him next. Seeing the music world open up to many possibilities, including video game music which incorporates that house, and trance style on many occasions, connecting to listeners on a deeper level than ever before. On a personal level, I find various songs that connect with me, whenever I feel down, depressed, or sad. Emerging from that feeling, with more hope to get thru another day, or even dance to my hearts content. Whenever I hear a BT track, I have to move, I cannot sit still and tap my foot alone.
Writing this, I feel so many vibes, and memories interwoven together. Even my hobby with gaming, has now interconnected with sound styles I grew up listening to that BT inspired so many artists to recent day. But there is only one Brian Transeau, and always will be. Even when he goes experimental, or ambient, to reconnect with trance, or go to another level. When a new BT song, or album is released, you are guaranteed a spiritual experience like no other.
To many more adventures, thank you Brian. Happy Birthday wishes old friend. This one is for you.
