Our dear friends over at Downbeat District are gearing up for their next event, Trance Awakening. DD promises an “unforgettable night of euphoric melodies and driving beats that you do not want to miss”, and we couldn’t be more stoked. To prepare you and get a little hyped ourselves, we’ll be doing an artist spotlight on each featured DJ. From top to bottom, we’re covering who you’re seeing, what you’ll be hearing, and why you should get excited.

Next up is Aldor.
As a lifelong lover of music, Aldor has not only seen it all – he’s produced it. From his early days creating tracks in his bedroom as a teenager on Frooty Loops, to opening for Armin Van Buuren, he’s gotten to experience every facet of the industry.
His music reflects this journey. Filled to the brim with pulsing beats, melodic transitions, and high-energy moments, his sets are a roadmap for the night. Each song builds upon the last, giving the audience a chance to build a story on the dance floor. A story that is open to interpretation. Where the listener can be anything they want. Where the present is the most important tense.
As a DJ, he embraces the breadth this scene offers. His songs range from modern trance to tech house. This is not only a testament to his musical ability, but to his connection with the audience. Audiences can often come to shows with a specific idea of how a set will turn out. Depending on the headliner, other acts may have expectations, most often about the music they play. His confidence in blending different sub-genres within electronic music never feels forced and provides necessary diversity throughout a set.
As another DJ on this list who hosts a AH.FM show, his Saturday afternoon show Vesper Sessions, provides the perfect soundtrack for a weekend roadtrip. The show, like his sets, aims to celebrate the diversity that exists within trance music – giving listeners the opportunity to leave their assumptions behind and open their mind and ears to something new.
As one of the headliners, he’ll be sure to take the energy created by the earlier acts and keep feeding it until the night is over.
