ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Neko

Neko’s Biography:

Neko ( Progrium / Transylvania )

Deep & Progressive House / Trance DJ from Nara, Japan, born in 1992.

He specializes in lyrical and melodic Progressive House with piano as the main instrument, and a wide range of music selection from Deep House to Trance.

In junior high school, he was introduced to trance and progressive house music by domestic artists from BMS and muzie, as well as artists from overseas labels such as Anjunabeats, and started DJing in high school.

In 2015, he organized his first Progressive House Party “Progrium” in Osaka with Shingo Nakamura, NECO, and masa8 as special guests.

After that, he regularly organized the Progressive House / Trance Party “Transylvania” in Osaka and Tokyo.

In 2016, he appeared at “Silk Music Showcase 350”, the official party of “Silk Music”, one of the biggest Progressive House labels, and performed with double headliner Shingo Nakamura and Indonesia’s LTN.

From 2016 to the present, he has been organizing the cruising party “PROG CRUISING PARTY” in front of the Glico signboard in Osaka on a regular basis.

In 2017, he invited Trident Music’s label owner Roman Hope from Argentina and held his second “Progrium” at Daikanyama UNIT in Tokyo.

In 2020, he will perform at the official party of Anjunadeep, the pinnacle of deep/progressive labels, which will be held for the first time in Japan.

1992年生まれ、奈良県出身のDeep & Progressive House / Trance DJ

ピアノを中心とした叙情的でメロディックなProgressive Houseを主軸としDeep HouseからTranceまで幅広い選曲を得意とする。

中学時代にBMSやmuzieから国内アーティストやAnjunabeatsなどの海外レーベルのアーティストによってトランス、プログレッシブハウスミュージックに触れ、高校生からDJ活動を開始。

2015年に大阪で自身初のオーガナイズを行い、Shingo Nakamura、NECO、masa8の3名を特別ゲストとしてProgressive House Party 『Progrium』を主宰。

その後は大阪、東京でProgressive House / Trance Party 『Transylvania』 の定期開催でオーガナイズを務める。

2016年にはProgressive Houseの最大手レーベルである”Silk Music“のオフィシャルパーティ”Silk Music Showcase 350″に出演し、ダブルヘッドライナーであるShingo Nakamura、インドネシアのLTNとの共演を果たした。

そして2016年から現在にかけて、大阪のグリコ看板前にてクルージングパーティ”PROG CRUISING PARTY”を主宰している。

また、2017年にTrident Musicのレーベルオーナー Roman Hopeをアルゼンチンから招致し、東京 代官山UNITにて2度目の『Progrium』を開催。

更に2020年には日本で初開催となった、Deep / Progressiveレーベルの最高峰 Anjunadeepのオフィシャルパーティでの出演を果たす。

DJの傍らデザイナーとしての活動も行っており、音楽レーベルへのCDジャケットデザインの提供や、イベントフライヤー、WEBサイトの制作など、その活動は多岐に渡る。
