Close your eyes, and let your mind drift away. “Arcology” connects to numerous genres, it is art in motion. Within this amazing album, it explores emotions, feels, energy, wonder, and magic. Whether it be instrumental, or a song with vocals, each song is a journey that tells your story.
[Tracklist]
1) The Pulse Within
The opening track, a theme that greets you noble traveler. An expansive world you can explore, a vast space that is open to your journey. Wherever you go, this is your time to shine. Built with hype, magic, and wonder. You look upon this puzzle, with so many possibilities.
2) ReSpire
A symphonic melody, compared to the opening song. Taking on a more dark utopia, or cyberpunk vibe. It is overwhelming, and may be filled with neon signs, holographic projections, and a city that goes beyond what the eye can see. A vast labyrinth, with numerous characters. Or it could even be a boss battle in the middle of the city. A monster, or mecha, something stops you in your tracks, there is no way out but to fight.
Another example: put Daft Punk’s club style, but bring in Castlevania vibes.
3) “Take Me Away” (featuring: Jillian Aversa)
A calming vibe, compared to ReSpire. More contemplative, a moment of clarity, peace, and meditation. A Final Fantasy, and Y’s vibe blended together, with an electronic spark. It is beautiful, and moving, where you feel what the character is connected to, this vast unknown. Also the lyrics feel like an origin tale, but also narrates the journey yet to be. Also the lyrics and vocals are amazing.
4) “The Other Side”, (featuring: Omega Sparx)
Imagine “Take Me Away” flipped around. Welcome to this different space. Boss theme? Rival? It feels hype, powerful, but also calculating, with sound fx in between. Also emulating “Inner Universe” from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Also connects to the same hybrid vibe from Devil May Cry 5, a berserk breakbeat boss club energy.
There are so many layers, it is unique to describe. Plus Omega Sparx delivers sick vibes throughout this awesome tune.
5) “No Limits” (featuring: Jillian Aversa)
Opening with a serenade, this space, possibly you have united with others creating a team, a bond, something that cannot be broken. A calming moment, where you all move as one, even after so many battles. A time for clarity, peace, and healing. But one thing is for sure, there is a special trust, that will stand the test of time.
Also within this song, is a melodic break that builds throughout, and expands. Connecting to the lyrics and vocals.
6) “Stranger Skies” (featuring: Jillian Aversa)
The farther you go, the atmosphere begins to change more and more. From cyber utopia, to a forest and beyond. The atmosphere is alive, with moonlight guiding you on your way. Building an environment, you have never seen before. Is it friendly, or sinister? Everything is shifting, changing, wrapping itself around you, and your friends. As you explore, the city is left behind, this vast space goes on forever. But there is hope, a place to rest, and hopefully no monsters.
7) “Modular Raindrops”
From the ending of the last track, raindrops cascading, connecting this song, giving way to what was ahead. Finding a new path, somewhere new, inviting, but also haunting. A place that is different from anything you have seen before. A hub world, where everything moves differently. Are there any other life forms? You keep exploring this space, hopeful to find answers. But all you find are ghosts. What was once here, living, thriving, left behind are shells walking about, machines, greeting you and your party. A place that once was city, now something else.
8) “Infiltration”
Spotted, on the run, possibly been found by a squad or enemy. There is no where else to go. Time to fight once more. But this feels different, the energy is more intense, overwhelming. This is a battle of your lives. You worked so hard to get this far, and the music choreographs that energy as you move in, strategize and take on all opponents blocking your path. As the music builds, so does your resolve, a battle to keep going.
9) “Generator” (featuring: Jillian Aversa)
This is your destination, or what was left behind. Your friends, still standing, united to finish this journey together. Finding answers to your questions, and mysteries unraveled. A place that unfolded around you, maybe this is where it all began. Puzzle pieces coming together, forming a story that was once lost, now found.
10) “Beyond Our Vision” (featuring: Jillian Aversa)
The end of the journey, this is what it was all for. Feeling some Phantasy Star vibes with this one. It is a happy ending song, but at the same time it allows you to reflect on everything. There is something magical, and mystical, with the lyrics and vocals. Giving that relief, closure, a time to breathe.
“Arcology” the entire album is a treat to listen to. It feels like the music narrates an adventure rpg, from start to finish. Also the music is another party member, changing, shifting, breaking down, and forming something new within every song. Zircon, Jillian, and Omega crafted an amazing album together. It is a must own, in your music library. Whether you love electronic music, or vgm. “Arcology” contains magic for everyone to experience.
