Her first single was “Steady” with LA indie electronic label Popgang Records.
Since then, she has gone on to do collabs with the likes of: Karizma, Terrence Parker, Jack Lndn, and others.
She’s been featured on: DJ Mag (“12 emerging artists you need to hear“), Magnetic Magazine, and Obvious Mag. She was a headlining act at Charivari Detroit Music festival in August, 2019.

Carmen Johnson is an active model, artist, singer, actress, producer and DJ born in Detroit, Michigan. Carmen is socially known as and performs under the name sillygirlcarmen. Her modeling career began when she was just 13 years old. At 14 years old, she was signed to major agencies in NY, Miami and LA. She has traveled the world and worked with many leading fashion and lifestyle brands including Macys, Garnier, Target, Abercrombie & Fitch and Finish Line.
As a DJ, she has played in many exclusive settings across America, but made her featured debut as sillygirlcarmen August 2019 headlining the Wonderful Stage at Charivari Detroit Music festival. Carmen is known to craft passionate sets that energize the room and ignite the dance floor. This has led her to play alongside industry favorites such as Moodymann, MK, Nora En Pure, DJ Minx, Mary Droppinz, Delano Smith, Kai Alce and Osunlade. Recently her DJ career has taken priority, and she is focusing on her production and releasing original music to debut in future performances.
