Romantic pianist Lorna James unites with the “First Lady of Trance,” Jan Johnston, and French producer, JP Lantieri, for a truly delightful collab.
Originally coming about from Lorna and JP meeting on one of our Electrofans Connect Zoom meetups, Lorna and JP later met last fall in person at ADE in Amsterdam. From there, they teamed up for a collab on a new track, with the amazing singer, Jan Johnston (Tiesto, BT, many others) providing standout vocals to really ignite the track.
JP Lantieri provides an elegant and progressive re-touch with his re-work of the original version.

Ce Soir: From Whispers to Waves (Lorna James, Jan Johnston, JP Lantieri) In 2024, Lorna James unveiled her original track Ce Soir, which garnered early acclaim from DJ Mag France and EDM House Network. This captivating piece is a liquid drum & bass ballad, elegantly built around Lornas primary instrument, the piano, and layered with ethereal background vocals and intriguing whispers. Building on this foundation, Lorna James enlisted the exceptional talent of Jan Johnston to craft a melody, write lyrics, and perform vocals for Ce Soir. Johnston boasts an illustrious career, lending her songwriting and vocal prowess to iconic collaborations with artists such as BT, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and Cosmic Gate. Her lyrical and vocal contribution to Ce Soir is undeniably distinctive. The collaborative journey continued when Lorna James and JP Lantieri connected during a Zoom listening session hosted by the California-based music portal, Electrofans. Their virtual encounter sparked a connection that led to an in-person meeting at the renowned Amsterdam Dance Event conference. Subsequently, JP Lantieri masterfully reimagined the elements created by Lorna and Jan – the delicate piano melodies, the evocative vocal stems, the subtle whispers, and Jan’s unforgettable voice – weaving them into his signature progressive house sound through a compelling remix.
