Seven Lions releases soaring new track, “Free”

Release Date: April 3, 2026

Seven Lions promo
Brieanna Grace

The new single is part of the upcoming new Seven Lions EP, “The Dreams Strange and Eternal” (releasing May 1 on Ophelia Records).

Vocalist Brieanna Grace ignites the music of Seven Lions, like a voice calling from a mountain top. The mood evoked reflects the track’s title perfectly, like a soundtrack from a fantasy movie after a major battle has been concluded and you are “Free.”

Expanding on the mythic sonic universe introduced in his 2025 album ‘Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars,’ the new single continues the story and atmosphere that defined the LP while pushing its sound into new emotional and stylistic territory.

The single arrives as Seven Lions prepares to bring the world of Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars to stages across North America this spring. Known for his immersive production and emotionally charged performances, the upcoming tour will see him headline some of the country’s most iconic venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Brooklyn Storehouse, and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

From his 2012 Beatport remix contest win for Above & Beyond to building Ophelia Records into one of the most influential labels in melodic bass, Seven Lions has amassed over a billion streams while cultivating one of the most dedicated fan communities in electronic music. With Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars, he honored the sound and spirit that first inspired his journey; with The Dreams Strange and Eternal and its new single “Free,” he continues to expand that universe – bridging the emotional core of trance, melodic bass, and cinematic storytelling.
