Eleganto has been producing propulsive energetic house singles at a rapid rate recently. Based in the Castellón region of Spain he infuses his music with a deep sense of rhythm and melodic hooks.
On ‘Casper’ he teams up with Philadelphia born Gabriel Kirsh to build a precision engineered track that slips effortlessly between tech house, EDM and a more indie-inflected pop style courtesy of Zadquiel’s lyrics and vocals.
Asked about the idea for the lyrics Zadquiel told Electrofans “It’s a break up song – Casper is supposed to signify the lingering ghost of the relationship – this innocent love that is gone but there is still a haunting for both sides”
The verses have a satisfying build and lift with nice organic and surprising changes in percussion. It feels like it’s about to launch into a massive chorus but instead opts for a dynamic melodic break reminiscent of late period Yello tunes like ‘Waba Duba‘ where programming and sound design combine to add rough edges to the diamond-sharp programming.
Casper is out now – with a free download available.
