Tracklist:
1) Inverted Silence – “Prism”
From the start, a funky beat. Reminiscent of early 2000’s beats (think of Jet Set Radio). Going about the city, grinding on rails, and exploring the city lights, with groovy beats serenading your soul. The city lights, as the sun sets, the moon rises, the night life arises bringing the music along with its vibes. Music comes in so many colors, telling a story of an artist, it can be whatever you make of it.
Inverted Silence cooked an amazing tune to start off this album. Delivering a fun, wild, and sick melody, with beats that makes you want to dance, and lose your mind.
2) DC Mizey & Jacotanu – “Tell Me Now”
Starting the ball off rolling, when the energy hits just right. Vocals that dance with a catchy beat and sound.
Delivering vibes from another time, but with a modern day spin. A mash up of sounds moving as one, through your speakers creating an atmosphere that is irresistable, telling you to give into the music.
3) James Landino – “Feel So”
This track reminds me of Ridge Racer, it builds hype, and then lets it free. That inertia of motion, and beats move as one, it keeps you motivated, to keep going. Catchy, melodic, and a flow with a piano break. One of those songs that is so good, you will be humming along after listening. Or if playing it a party, everyone might be singing along when the beat hits.
4) Asuzora – “Without U”
“Without U” is a marvel, it starts off sweet, and then it spins with massive beats, leading to a break. With a vibe from a different time, and space. Creating this incredible atmosphere, that has something to say. Is the song talking to us? Yes it is. Building up, and then letting go. It has this flow that dances around, and ends with a record stop.
5) Zeroth – “Interleaved”
If you have played a SHMUP (an arcade shoot em up, think Galaga, or Gradius). It starts off with a piano melody, that it breaks the tone with a new sound. A hyperkinetic beat, that dances so well together. With the new piece flowing, it feels like you’re in the stars, fighting against the elements, avoiding every obstacle. Pew pew pew!
With another break down after a beautiful piano melody, it shifts down, then up going faster and harder. This track has so many layers, it feels like a complete journey through a stage, from the opening to a boss level. A sense of calm, then a moment of dread claws at the surface ready to kick your butt.
6) Ferumi & Quiet Good – “Over U”
A dark melody kicks in, ominous, then the vocals hit. There is something within its message. It feels like a black hole has emerged from somewhere, with a voice beckoning inside. But its message is one of saying something else.
You dive in deeper, and it gets harder to see. The beats are your compass, as things get rougher. The vocals still speak to you, but feel so far away.
This is one of the few vocal lead tracks, but it is still powerful. Even with a few words said, it has this power that makes your heart skip a beat. Also it feels like a boss theme song, beautiful, yet menacing, delivering all of the feels at once.
7) Viticz Ft. Aijou – “Flicker”
The second vocal lead track. The lead notes make it feels like you are floating, then it gives you a hug. A dream, drifting in wonder, and magic. Building unique visuals, as if you are lost, but somehow finding your way through the song. The break midway through the song narrates the journey so far. Then when the vocals return, it does feel like the song is alive.
The vocals in this song have this vibe that have a different emotion. It feels calm, guiding you, but also makes you question everything. From imagination, to what is in your heart. The visuals also play with your mind, memories, fragments, the flicker as they show up and disappear. Is this happiness? Sadness? Or something else?
Also guiding with meditation. It is a beautiful song, that goes to unexpected levels.
8) Torrii – “Sonority Hierarchy”
The last song from this amazing album. A melody that draws you in, then it shifts in tone, breaking down changing its shape forming something new within a piano and violin melody. A beat moving across, up and down, left and right, like a cell forming within a system, evolving, becoming something new. A sound with its identity growing before your eyes, it offers closure, but also the hope we will meet again.
“INTERSECT” is an album that: feels like a sound style from another time, bringing incredible talents together. A journey that was meant to be, celebrating life, love, and dreams. It also feels as if you went on a trip around the world, experiencing sights and sounds within every song. Delivering a spiritual, and uplifting experience. “INTERSECT” is available now, and a must own in your music library.
