A new track, to start off the new year! Delivering a high energy, and intense beat, with a melody that builds as it goes on. That feeling of being surrounded, mid flight, in space, and trying to out maneuver every incoming baddie. But all the while, you have a friendly that needs help, you provide backup, saving their bacon. There is a story within this song, it is about a sci-fi rollercoaster ride, all the while feeling very vivid and action packed.
“On Your Six” is an intergalactic mission, you will want to embark on. It is wild, atmospheric, but also contemplative. That feeling of being part of something, fighting for freedom in the stars. Plus that rush of doing barrel rolls, dodging enemy fire, and the speed. The inertia, and energy of everything happening all around you.
Also the idea reminds me of many classic arcade shmups (shoot em ups), also quarter munchers. Galaga, Gradius, and many more. Those titles were the stuff of memories, but dang they were tough too. Plus the music was always catchy. And so is this tune, it is so good. So hop in! Let’s go!!
