ko-ta’s biography:[Stratosphere Records, Liiebermann, Gabriiela, rav]

An electronic musician living in Kushiro City, he started creating music in the early 1990s and established the label “Stratosphere” in 1997. His releases have been highly acclaimed and played by top DJs in Japan and abroad, including Takkyu Ishino, DJ NOBU, DVS 1,and Donato Dozzy.

Since 2008, he has also been active as a co-producer of “Liiebermann” with Yokohama-based K.Hamawaki and as a free concept unit “rav”. In addition to his own label, he also provides music to labels in Japan and Europe.

As a DJ, he has been invited to play at parties all over Japan, and has also performed at the Rising Sun Rock Festival’s “Loopa Night” and Sakanaction’s “NF” party. He has also performed at “Loopa Night” at Rising Sun Rock Festival and “NF”, a party organized by Sakanaction. He continues to DJ and party around Kushiro and East Hokkaido. 51 years old. 釧路市在住の電子音楽家。1990年代初頭に楽曲制作を開始、1997年にレーベル『Stratosphere』を設立。リリースしたレコードは石野卓球、DJ NOBU、DVS 1、Donato Dozzyをはじめ国内外のトップDJに評価されプレイされ続ける。

2008年からは横浜市在住のK.Hamawakiとの共同プロダクション『Liiebermann』、レーベル『Gabriiela』を主宰。2018年からは自由的コンセプト・ユニット/レーベルである『rav』を主宰、自身のレーベル以外に国内や欧州のレーベルへも楽曲提供する。

DJとしても日本各地のパーティーへ招聘されプレイする他、ライジングサン・ロックフェスティバル〝Loopa Night〟やサカナクション主宰のパーティー〝NF〟へも出演。現在も釧路、道東を中心にDJ、パーティーを続けている。

Liiebermann (K.Hamawaki & KO-TA)

Liiebermann is the production unit of K.Hamawaki (previously released on Fumiya Tanaka’s Torema Records label) and Ko-Ta from Stratosphere.

Ko-Ta is influenced by old techno pop music like YMO, Kraftwerk and minimal techno like Jeff Mills and Basic Channel.
He started making his own music in 1991 and DJing in 1993 in Kushiro, Hokkaido. Ko-Ta established the minimal techno label Stratosphere in 1997. Stratosphere released 7 EPs especially for DJs. He now gets DJ offers from all over Japan.

K.Hamawaki fell into minimal music such as Jeff Mills and Basic Channel. He started as a DJ / producer when he was 15 years old in Hiroshima. K.Hamawaki contacted Ko-Ta in 2001. Ko-Ta was deeply impressed with K.Hamawaki’s tracks and decided to release from Stratosphere. Also K.Hamawaki released a track from Fumiya Tanaka’s Torema Record in 2006.

Liibermann started in January, 2008.
Ko-Ta and K.Hamawaki work together from Kushiro, Hokkaido and Tokyo.
