Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to share my brand-new track, ‘Higher’—a Drum and Bass record that pushed me creatively in ways I hadn’t expected.
This song began with a simple yet captivating vocal hook I discovered on Splice. It was short—really short—so the challenge was turning it into a full track while keeping it dynamic and engaging. But you know me—I love vocal chops! They always add a unique energy to my music, and this time was no exception.
I also took a bold step with this track: I incorporated acoustic drums into the mix. I know it’s not the most common choice in electronic music, and blending them with synthetic elements wasn’t easy. But after six years of training my ears and refining my mixing skills, I finally felt confident enough to make it work. And honestly? I love how it turned out.
