St. Petersburg meets London with EchoStorms, an interesting producer duo that blends together tech house, indie dance, and house music.
Their debut single, “Tidal Wave,” came out in July of this year on Dying Light Records/Sony Music. The track has gotten some solid re-works by Chapter & Verse (a shuffling tech house mix), as well as Hugo Cantarra (melodic techno/house-oriented mix). “Tidal Wave” has received DJ support from a range of artists such as David Guetta and Tiesto to Riva Starr and TS7.
They’ve played sold-out live shows this year at Cacao Beach, Hidden Festival and Solar Summer Festival.
“Do It For Me” is their latest track, a more EDM-oriented work released November 5th on NYC’s Gameroom Records:
EchoStorms are Ben Locke and Katya Fadeeva. Their goal is to make full-blooded, emotionally-charged dance music that incorporates elements of melodic techno, indie dance and house inspired by constantly travelling the world and absorbing cultural markers on their way (they call it “Cinematic Tech House!”)
Katya became involved in dance music when she moved to St Petersburg and being heavily involved in the local rave scene, organising and eventually playing at parties, while Ben has been involved in the music industry for years as a producer and writer, with credits including Timbaland, Jason Nevins, Snoop Dogg, Jim Beanz, and Lil Wayne. As a solo act, Ben is no stranger to performing at the world’s top venues, having DJ’d at Pacha, Ibiza Rocks and Diddy’s Grammy Awards afterparty.
