Within “After Dark”, the newest collaboration tune from Dan & JES, it opens up with a catchy melody. Then as the vocals hit, you get lost in the sound. There is something magical, and mystical in this song. From the atmosphere built into the lyrics, and the thought of the moon cascading, taking over the night sky. Creating a different space, and the energy it takes over, as if a new energy takes hold under the stars.
A song with energy, that you close your eyes, drift away. Lift your hands high, and lose track of time, and space. Everything, all of your troubles fade away. Mind and body go on a journey, away from the worries, a place to just breathe, and let go. The moon shines bright, as do the stars, you and everyone around you, are somewhere else. It feels peaceful, harmony, something everyone needed.
“After Dark” conveys this unique energy, that we all need sometimes. To go somewhere, where everything else ceases to be, a moment in time it is tranquil, a meditative state, with music singing through your heart and soul.
