Originally part of the “Movement in Still Life”, album released in 1998 this track has its own irresistable energy. It is timeless, mesmerizing, beautiful, hypnotic, and ahead of its time. It was highly regarded as a work of art in music magazines, and one of those songs that had to be part of a playlist in many shows that BT brought his work to life. Whether it was in its original form, or a remix. “Godspeed” taps into those synapses, that makes you want to close your eyes, and give into the rhythm, and sound.

For many years BT has been trying to dig into the archives, and remaster many of his classic releases. “Godspeed” is one of those songs that is addicting, and will take you on a journey all over again. Whether it its first time, or you lost count and let it replay.

Godspeed 12″ 9min: 22secs
The original mix, in its full glory, not limited to an album release as it was within MISL. This nearly ten minute rendition includes a longer journey, and flow of its meditative state. A treasure in music, then and now, still sounds incredible after all this time. Also featured in this release: Album Mix, Album Edit, 12″ Mix, and 12″ Edit

Brothers in Rhythm remix 9min: 26secs
A blend of something timeless, with a beat of a new one. With a guitar dancing alongside the backing vocals, and melody. This spin has a unique energy, where it keeps the original, but incorporating a more modern feel. While having that new sound, it feels like something from the 2000’s. That ethereal, spiritual, and IMA inspired design. That flow state, something the Wip3out series could tap into within music, where the rush, and sound form around one another. Brothers in Rhythm’s remix even taps into a breakdown of the song, where the melody resonates completely. It feels like a journey through different genres all at once. A fascinating remix of this unforgettable tune.

Hybrid 7″ 4min
Originally featured in the two disc version of “Movement in Still Life”. This classic remix is revisited as well.
But the fascinating part, there are several different versions of this mix featured on the album. The 7″, Mix, and Dub. It it tough to say which version is the best, because they are all equally awesome.

Memnon remix 8min: 32secs
This remix is fascinating, it was featured in a compilation album titled, “Love Groove Dance Collection Part 9”. It was released back in 1998, under the MusicNow Records label. The build up, and release is marvelous, it flows with a different sound emanating from the original mix, but broken down, and forms something new. Even though it was from a long time ago, it still feels fresh, as if it could be released today.

Thumper remix 6min: 55secs
This rendition of the song feels like it is on an adrenaline rush. It builds the melody surrounding this energy, harnessing it, and letting the sound express itself. Then it adds a new piece, giving a club or house style feel. Waves of sounds coming together, interweaving into one another, forming something new. As it unfolds, the original sound echoes through, rising to the surface.

“Godspeed”, a timeless, and mesmerizing masterpiece, and its amazing releases are available now. Brought to you by: Binary Acoustics, Embrace the Future, and Black Hole Recordings.
