Drum & bass is having a global moment. Its high-energy pulse is echoing far beyond the underground. From Tomorrowland to Ultra, you’ll now find 174 BPM in the sets of mainstream giants like Tiësto, Afrojack and David Guetta. But for those who live and breathe the genre, there’s only one festival that delivers the full spectrum of drum & bass culture in its purest form: Liquicity Festival.

Returning for its ninth edition from 25-27 July 2025, Liquicity takes over the lush landscape of Geestmerambacht (just north of Amsterdam), bringing together a uniquely curated lineup that unites drum & bass legends with the next generation of talent.

WORLD-CLASS HEADLINERS IN AN INTIMATE SETTING

Headliners like Sub Focus, Pendulum, Dimension, Camo & Krooked and Koven lead the charge at this year’s edition of Liquicity Festival. While it now ranks among Europe’s top three drum & bass festivals and continues to grow in scale, Liquicity still flies under the radar for many and remaining a hidden gem for those in the know. It’s a must-discover experience for true fans of the genre.

A JOURNEY THROUGH THE FULL SPECTRUM OF DRUM & BASS
Whether you’re drawn to the fresh, forward-thinking sounds of 1991, Andromedik, and Sota, or prefer the raw heaviness of pioneers like Break, DJ Hazard and Black Sun Empire – Liquicity serves it all. Staying true to its roots, the festival maintains a strong focus on uplifting and melodic sounds, while still embracing the genre’s darker, heavier edges.

One of this year’s standout sets comes from Calibre. The legendary producer, known for his deep and soulful sound, makes a rare festival appearance and is joined by longtime collaborators LSB, DRS, Technimatic, and Makoto. Essential for the heads.

Also taking the stage are crowd favourites like A Little Sound, Metrik, K Motionz, and Fox Stevenson, each bringing their own signature energy to Geestmerambacht. Even dubstep pioneer Rusko joins the ride, switching gears for a high-octane 174 BPM set.

 
A SELF-MADE COMMUNITY
What sets Liquicity apart is the strong sense of community at its core. Each year, thousands of drum & bass lovers from over 60 countries travel to Geestmerambacht – not just for the line-up, but to be part of something bigger.

Over 80% of visitors stay the entire weekend on the festival campsite. A vibrant mix of solo travelers and tight-knit friend groups, all connected by a shared love for the music. New connections form naturally, and before long, the line between ‘visitor’ and ‘community’ fades away.

Even the locals feel it. The festival kicks off early on Wednesday with a neighbourhood BBQ, bringing together crew, volunteers and residents in a spirit of togetherness that’s rare in the festival world.

Liquicity has been community-driven since day one. What started in 2008 as a YouTube channel for sharing liquid drum & bass grew into a global network of fans and artists. The festival is its physical manifestation – a weekend where the online roots are still deeply felt.

Fully independent and run by people who live and breathe the genre, including artists like Maduk who work behind the scenes, Liquicity remains intimate, honest and unlike anything else.
