An introduction:
Greetings friends, and music lovers. I just wanted to try something new. An awesome friend of mine, co-produced this amazing film with his brother, and I wanted to support this work of art. Without further ado. Here is my review of the film “Dog”.

The story so far:
The film is about these two sisters, Summer wants to go to a rave. While they go, we learn the other sister Lex is blind, but loves the feeling, and the sound of the music. When one sister is dancing and having fun, the blind sister is in her own world enjoying the vibe. That moment right there, sets the scene, the energy and rush of the music. We connect to music in various ways, but to experience it in a unique way from one another, makes it more captivating.

Presentation:
“Dog” if a short film, presented in black and white, and in a 4:3 presentation. But don’t let that dismay you, it is a beautiful production, displayed in 4K. The film was also shown at various independent film festivals, receiving lots of positive praise.

Soundtrack:
Composed by Austin Feinstein, the rave track that illustrates the energy, and atmosphere sets the tone of the film. The track envelopes the viewer with the swell, and rush of what is going on screen. Plus how each character connects to the music, especially when the focus is on Lex as the film title presents itself. The scene makes time feel like everything else fades away, it is this moment.

Even when there is a quiet moment, there is a tense flow and melody always around. Interesting to note, the music conveys of an artist from another time and space, but connects to right now. Also an extra note, the composer goes by another name on social media as Teeks, and is part of a band called “Slow Hollows“. Definitely worth checking out. They are usually part of the alternative, and indie rock scene, but to find out Austin has a vibe with electronic music, is awesome.

“Dog” is an incredible experience, and a must watch. Also be sure to turn that volume up, and that speaker thumping. The film is available to watch on youtube, and yet to be announced elsewhere.
